It’s the season to run away from a Santa Claus goat-man who wants to rip your head off.

Festive Fervor is now live Call of Duty: The Vanguard and War zone, bringing a bunch of new challenges and seasonal gameplay elements for the holiday season in both games. The end of the year period is decidedly festive in Cod.

As part of the event, little elves will appear randomly on multiplayer maps in Avant-garde and on Caldera in Warzone. If you hear their nasty laughs, track them down and shoot them to earn loot and progress to some of the challenges below.

Krampus, the horned monster from folklore, will also appear on the map to hunt down players who do not play the objective. Killing Krampus is also part of the challenges, so bring plenty of ammo and have some friends help you take down his large health pool.

In total there are six different challenges that can be completed in the two Avant-garde Where War zone. Completing all the challenges will earn you the “Ol ‘Timey” plan.

First challenge: a level jump, a double XP token of one hour

• Avant-garde – Eliminate Krampus three times
• War zone – Player War zone for seven hours

Second Challenge: Cookie Crumbler Calling Card, Derailed Spray

• Avant-garde – Kill 10 Elf Six team members hiding in MP maps
• War zone – Travel 25 miles in War zone

Third Challenge: Gift Receipt Sticker, Skullflake Emblem

• Avant-garde – Open five Care Packages
• War zone – Do 365 damage to Krampus in War zone

Fourth Challenge: One Hour Double XP Token, Toy Gun Calling Card

• Avant-garde – Get five kills with killstreaks
• War zone – Destroy 12 elves in War zone

Fifth challenge: Santa’s delivery business card, naughty list emblem

• Avant-garde – Complete 10 Armageddon matches
• War zone – Open 24 holiday funds in War zone

Sixth challenge: Tanenbaum charm, Gnome Wars business card

• Avant-garde – Complete 15 matches on the expedition
• War zone – Navigate to eight points of interest in War zone
