Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Qatar, organized an artistic performance entitled “The Rhythm of Korea”.

At the Katara Opera, an audience of different nationalities attended the show in full commitment to precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

On this occasion, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Qatar HE Joon Ho Lee, delivered a speech at the opening of the ceremony, welcoming the strong relations between Qatar and Korea.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea praised the cooperation with Katara to educate the diverse audience about the rich and diverse Korean culture through various artistic and cultural activities and events that would strengthen the rapprochement between cultures and peoples.

The show featured several amazing exhibition paintings that combined music and performance, as well as a taekwondo show, which is part of Korea’s cultural and folk heritage and considered one of Korea’s national sports.

Katara has organized a number of cultural and artistic events in cooperation with the Korean Embassy on many occasions, including artistic performances and concerts, including the “Korean Culture Week” which is an evening for the music of Korean Street, and an evening of the wonderful voices of Korea presented by famous Korean fusion group Band Queen and others.
